The 1,400-acre ACE Adventure Center, overlooking the New River Gorge, is an adventure-vacation destination in itself as well as one of the area's most spacious campgrounds. Families with young children will find our wooded park the ideal place for a vacation. We offer lots of activities suitable for children as young as five and, for adults, our guided caving, kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, and horseback riding programs. Our park includes a five-acre swimming lake with a sandy beach and floating playground and volleyball court. Canoeing and paddle boating on the lake are free and sit-on-top kayaks for the kids. We also maintain 25 miles of trails for hiking and biking that connect with the National Park Service's trails. Catch bluegill, catfish, and trophy largemouth bass in our five stocked ponds, where you won't need a license (though fishing is catch and release).
